Hiding them is less intuitive than you might think, but let me show you the 6 simple steps to hide the number of likes on others’ posts and 4 simple steps to hide the number of likes on your own posts.
How to hide the like count on other people’s Instagram posts?
- Go to your Instagram Profile (picture on the bottom right corner of your screen)
- Select Menu (three lines on the top right corner of your screen)
- Select Settings
- Select Privacy
- Select Posts
- Toggle on “Hide Like and View Counts”
Now you won’t see the number of likes on anyone’s posts. Let me know how this changes your experience on Instagram!
How to hide the like count on your own Instagram posts?
- Go to your Instagram Profile (picture on the bottom right corner of your screen)
- Select one of your posts
- Select the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the post
- Select “Hide like count”
Now you and others won’t see the number of likes on this specific post. Unfortunately, you will need to do this for each individual post.
